Philanthropy is her healing journey.

Hi! I’m Sophia

I’m a mom, wife, corporate giving professional, feminist beauty queen, #metoo advocate, and brave philanthropist.

I spend way too many hours eating Lucky Charms cereal and quoting Leslie Knope - aka. my fictional hero.

I’m crazy about philanthropy, in fact service is my love language. And, I spent years struggling to find the best way to give my time, talent, and money in a way that didn't stretch me too thin.

Forget 2020. Do you remember 2016?

2016 was my turning point. I was pregnant with my first child, and I felt profoundly saddened by the lack of empathy and quite frankly “do-good-ness” in the world.

There was a lot of crazy happening that year, and on top of being pregnant, as a survivor of rape, a lot of triggering conversations were bubbling to the surface of our national discourse. And, I was fed up.

So, I made a promise.

From the day my first daughter was born, I made a promise.

I promised her that I was going to make good on doing good that matters.

Now, I help thousands of people every year to do good in a way that matters.

I’ve coached everyday individuals and businesses on how to maximize donations of all sizes to achieve their fundraising goals. I've worked at the federal and local levels of government to change legislation for good.

I started Brave Philanthropist because, I want to do the same for you.
